Our Privacy Philosophy
At Slate Azimuth LLC ("we", "our", or "us"), we practice Privacy by Design. We do not want to track you, we do not want to sell your profile, and we do not want to collect your personal details. We believe that preparation software should help you focus entirely on your certification goals without surveillance.
1. Core Application Data & Local-First Processing
All curriculum progress indicators, performance records, question tracking states, card review intervals, and predictive readiness metrics generated in our exam coach mobile applications are stored and processed entirely local to your device.
- No Cloud Sync to Our Servers: Your performance charts and study schedules never transit through our systems.
- iCloud Container Storage: Standard cloud synchronization is handled exclusively via your personal private Apple iCloud container. We never have access to, visibility over, or ownership of this file stream.
2. Account-Free Architecture
Our applications do not require user accounts. We do not ask for, process, or store:
- Your name or username
- Your email address or phone number
- External social single sign-on (SSO) credentials
You are fully operational in our apps immediately after downloading.
3. Anonymous Web Syllabus Polling
On our official website, we host an active syllabus and state expansion poll. This system is engineered with extreme data security constraints:
- Zero-Identity Submission: Proposing a state or voting for a course is recorded as a purely anonymous numeric counter change in our database. We do not link these votes to an IP address, cookies, or unique identifiers.
- Local Memory Verification: To ensure healthy tallies and prevent double voting, voted course IDs are recorded within your browser's private disk storage area (
localStorage). This stay-local context never leaves your browser.
4. Support Communications & Data Deletion
Because we do not require accounts, we do not store your study history, scores, or progress on our servers. This data stays entirely on your device. To delete your application data, simply delete the app from your device or clear your local browser storage.
If you voluntarily submit a support ticket via our online dashboard or email us at team@slateazimuth.com, we will capture your contact email address and any contextual diagnostics you optionally supply. If you wish to delete this correspondence:
- How to Request Deletion: You can email us at team@slateazimuth.com at any time to request the immediate, permanent deletion of your support tickets or email correspondence.
- Scope of Use: We use your messages solely to address your support concerns, diagnose technical malfunctions, and return answers to your questions. We never distribute, trade, or monetize support histories.
5. Third-Party Infrastructure & Processors
To keep our website fast, secure, and operational, we partner with selected infrastructure providers:
- Cloudflare (Content Delivery & Security): We use Cloudflare to host our website securely and protect against web-based security threats. Cloudflare processes basic, non-personally identifiable diagnostic logs (like server request metrics) temporarily.
- Supabase (Database Storage): We use Supabase to host our public syllabus and state expansion polls. This database only records aggregated, anonymous votes (integer counts) and contains no user accounts or personal metadata.
- Apple App Store: Our mobile apps are distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store. Downloads, purchases, and opt-in diagnostics are governed directly by Apple's Privacy Policy. We only view aggregated, anonymous analytics summaries.
6. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy as our applications scale or as regulatory standards advance. When updates are published, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
